some rough board mixes from the '09 recording of sea phases. i had forgotten about these demo versions and found them recently. they were mixed down after the sessions and i feel like they still have that post-recording energy. notice the bass di is panned left and the amp is panned right. i thought it would be fun to release this as a single for 'the ocean' as it didn't make it on to the album. it's super unpolished, but i like it this way. there's also 3 other songs: 'colour blind', 'setting sun' and 'in the night' that didn't make the final cut. i included rougher versions of a few others too. enjoy!
